Max-Weber group visits our lab!

We organized lab tours and discussions for our Max-Weber students!

June 20, 2024

Today the Max-Weber group visited our labs at LMU. We started the visit with a short introduction into the topic of quantum simulation, specifically with ultracold atoms in optical lattices. We discussed what quantum simulation can be useful for in order to understand quantum many-body systems, as well as differences and similarities with platforms that are being developed for digital quantum computing. After that we organized a lab tour in our Yb hybrid tweezer-lattice lab (see picture).

Thank you all for coming! And thank you Tim for the lab tour!
