Tim successfully defended his PhD thesis!!

Tim did his PhD in our Yb hybrid tweezer-lattice experiment. Together with Etienne he started in an empty lab. Now we have a working machine where we can use the optical clock transition to cool atoms in a magic-wavelength optical lattice to the absolute ground state. We are excited to now demonstrate similar capabilities for fermions and integrate the tweezer array(s) for rearrangement and local control!
