Congratulations to Henrik Dreyer for successfully defendeding his thesis!
In his thesis, Henrik improved a method (Tensor Networks) used to simulate Quantum Many-Body Systems. These systems are classified as either “gapped” or “gapless”. While Tensor Networks work great for most gapped systems, he showed under which circumstances they can be used to describe “gapless” systems.
After six years at MPQ, he now leaves the institute for a postdoctoral fellowship in Oxford.
We wish you all the best for the future Henrik!
