Abstract:

Gauge theories are at the heart of the Standard Model of particle and nuclear physics that describes strong and electroweak physics.
Classes of observables, particularly involving (non-equilibrium) dynamics and finite densities, are beyond the capabilities of classical computation at scale,
but some of these observables are hoped to be addressable with quantum simulation of gauge theories and low-energy effective field theories.
I will discuss thoughts on a few related aspects, which I hope will continue and/or start discussions.
