Abstract:

In this introductory talk, I will cover the basic topics of game theory. We will start with two player zero-sum games (and how to solve them). After the basics out of the way, we will move to non-zero sum games which allow cooperation between the players. We will analyze the notorious Prisoner's Dilemma, as well as other "famous" games. There will also be plenty of real-world applications. If time permits, we will even explore some "quantum game theory". Does entangling the strategies help increase one's outcome?
