Abstract:

Photonic graph states are of interest in quantum communication networks and photonic quantum computing. Creating such states with linear optics is challenging, as each photon entangling gate is probabilistic. We instead focus on the possibility of deterministic generation of such photonic resource states from spin-photon interfaces. I will present protocols our group has developed theoretically for the generation of various types of graph states from quantum emitter and ancilla systems, discussing physical implementations as well. I will also present a general protocol to generate an arbitrary graph state with the minimal number of quantum emitters.
