CavityX Labtour with a 360° view
As part of the current QIP (Quantum Information Processing) Conference, which is jointly organised by the TU Munich and the Cluster of Excellence MCQST, Dominik Niemitz, a doctoral student in the Quantum Dynamics department of Gerhard Rempe, is showing a laboratory from his research group. In this lab the researchers investigate individual atoms in crossed optical fibre cavities. The video shows the set-up of the experiment and the laboratory environment in a 360° view, which allows the viewer to freely turn and look around.

The same lab is also the habitat of Pau Farrera, Postdoc in the Quantum Dynamics Division, who shares another perspective on their research project and environment. In this video he explains how quantum networks could work in the future.
