There is a wide range of childcare services in Germany. Here you find an explanation on what to expect and which services the MPQ and the German government offers in order to support employees and families to negotiate Work and Family Life.

Language Schools

At the MPQ we highly encourage you to learn German in order simplify your stay and research in Germany. Most often, German courses are supstituted or financed by your department. Besides the German course at the MPQ, there are several other options where you can learn German.

Health Care System

Unlike other countries healthcare and doctor visits are not regularly available in hospitals, which are only for emergencies and special treatments. If you get sick your first contact will be your general physician (Allgemeinarzt).
