Two IMPRS block lectures were held so far: “High-field and attosecond physics” in April 2007 in Munich and “Ultrafast laser-matter interactions” in February 2009 in Vienna. The principal idea is to assemble a compact and very specialized lecture series into one block of 5 days. This offers not only a very compact and advanced lecture series for local students, but also students from Vienna could participate in lectures in Munich and the other way around.
