A variety of interesting physical phenomena related to modern optics research will be discussed.

Subjects include noble metal meta-materials and their uses in the fields of cloaking, negative index of refraction generators, and surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS). Also to be discussed is a novel combination of the multi-harmonic pump-probe technique with dual-comb spectroscopy, and potential applications of such a tool. Final topics will include non-linear waveguides for frequency conversion and micro-comb creation, as well semi-conductor / metallic nano-materials and their uses for terahertz generation.
