I will give an introduction to the AdS/CFT correspondence and its generalization for non-experts.
AdS/CFT is a map between strongly coupled quantum field theories and classical theories of gravitation which originates from string theory.
Moreover, I will introduce applications of this approach to quantum
liquids and to strongly correlated systems. I will also comment on the
relation between AdS/CFT and tensor networks.
