Theoretical studies related to our scientific goals

Here we collect theoretical studies, where our team members have been involved in order to advance our understanding of experimental realizations and preparation protocols for studying complex quantum many-body systems.

Together with our theory colleagues we developed a new scheme for realizing non-Abelian lattice gauge theories with Alkaline-earth(-like) atoms or via Rydberg excitation.
Gauge theories constitute the basis of the Standard Model and provide useful descriptions of various phenomena in condensed matter.
Our new proposal for the simulation of U(1) QLMs with Yb atoms was published in PRX Quantum!
