Projects / Cooperations
Scientists at MPQ are in close cooperation with other research institutes and universities in Germany as well as in other countries. The most important ones are named below.
Third-Party Funds Projects and other National Projects
The MPQ is involved in a couple of national collaborations among which DFG projects are of special importance. The Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (German Research Foundation) is the central, self-governing research funding organization. Its goal is to promote research at universities and other publicly financed research institutions by funding research projects and facilitating cooperation among researchers.
Collaborative Research Centre 631 (SFB 631)
DFG Project 635 (FOR 635)
Coherent X-ray source for the generation and charakterization of nanostructures (KORONA)
Clusters of Excellence
The 'Clusters of Excellence' initiative, set up by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, aims to promote top-level international scientific research in Germany. The individual projects involve partners from universities and industry. The MPQ participates in two of the Clusters of Excellence, each approved in October 2006:
