Quantum Optical Systems

Prof. Dr. J.I. Cirac, Dr. G. Giedke, Dr. M. Hartmann

23.03.-03.04.2009, daily 10-13h (equivalent to 2SWS)

Max-Planck-Institut für Quantenoptik, H.-Kopfermannstr. 1, 85748 Garching, seminar room B0.21

The lecture covers fundamental systems studied in current quantum optics research. We derive the approriate Hamiltonian, discuss the resulting dynamics and in particular applications for quantum information processing.
